´SOLIDCELLS´ project successfully completed

The SOLIDCELLS project carried out by BASQUEVOLT under the NEOTEC program, entitled "Development of solid-state cells for the latest generation of batteries", has been funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities through the Centre for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI).

The NEOTEC program has thus contributed to the implementation of new projects based on the knowledge gained from research activities, such as the SOLIDCELLS project. This project has aimed to lead the development of a new generation of solid-state cells, focusing its activities on the design of cells and electrolytes whose advantages include greater safety, higher energy density and lower cost compared to current lithium-ion batteries.

The objective was to respond to society´s electrification needs and provide technological impetus to key sectors such as electric vehicles, stationary storage and consumer electronics.
