ELECTRODE PROCESS ENGINEER

Department: Process Engineering

Your Role:  Electrode Process Engineer is responsible to define electrode manufacturing processes of Basquevolt’s semi-solid proprietary Li-ion cells. Collaborating closely with the Process Engineering director, the Electrode Process Engineer will focus on optimizing and scaling up processes related to electrode manufacturing.   • Develop and scale up the assigned responsibility processes, including slurry manufacturing to slitting process.
  • Define appropriate equipment for production of LFP electrodes.
  • Determine process critical parameters to optimize process conditions and ensure cell build consistency.
  • Collaborate with machine suppliers during equipment design to incorporate necessary capabilities and processes.
  • Provide process documentation (PFMEA, Control Plan) for newly developed processes and assembly concepts.
  • Confirm process standards based on optimal equipment operation and process conditions through process capability analysis and statistical process analysis.
  • Support the optimization of electrode composition and processing to enhance electrochemical and manufacturing quality and performance.
  • Analyze process data and communicate results with cross-functional teams to drive improvements.
  • Investigate equipment-related issues, provide root cause analysis, and support timely corrective actions.
  • Develop process sheets for the assigned area to ensure clarity and consistency in manufacturing procedures.

Requisitos

The Electrode Process Engineer should have experience in the development and manufacturing of lithium-ion battery, ideally within a corporate organization.

  • Degree in Mechanical/ Mechatronic /Process/ Chemistry Engineering.
  • 5 years of experience in LFP electrodes at mass production scale.
  • High expertise in slurry manufactufing and coating process at mass production scale.
  • Technical knowledge and ability in process engineering disciplines.
  • Write clear and accurate process procedures for manufacturing
  • Familiar with DFMEA, PFMEA and QA troubleshooting tools
  • Applicants should be fluent in English.
  • Uses good problem-solving techniques to identify root cause. Implements actions to eliminate further occurrences.
