We are looking for an HSE Technician to strengthen the HSE team. We are currently offering a 9-month contract with the possibility of joining the company permanently depending on performance and the needs of the company. 
 
HSE TECHNICIAN (TEMPORARY CONTRACT)
Your role:
The HSE Technician supports the daily management of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) activities within the company. This role involves assisting with administrative tasks, providing technical support, contributing to process improvements, coordinating communication between departments, and participating in training initiatives. The HSE Technician works closely with the HSE Specialist, Safety Services, and other departments to ensure adherence to HSE standards and promote a safe and compliant work environment.
 
Main functions:

  • Provide technical support to resolve operational issues related to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Assist in conducting safety inspections and reporting findings to the HSE Specialist.
  • Support daily administrative management, including documentation and filing of HSE-related records.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance records and preparing necessary reports.
  • Support the implementation of HSE process improvements.
  • Identify potential areas for enhancement in safety and environmental practices and propose solutions.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure effective communication and adherence to safety standards.
  • Facilitate information sharing and cooperation between teams to promote a culture of safety.
  • Participate in training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives related to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Support the organization of HSE-related training activities.

Requisitos

Education

  • Technical diploma or associate degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum qualification: Higher Technical Qualification in HSE (Técnico Superior PRL)
  • Additional trainings: Relevant HSE certifications or training courses are a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in a health, safety, and environmental role within the Chemical and/or Automotive industry.
  • Experience in industry, either in an External Prevention Service (SPA), Internal Prevention Service (SPP), or as a Safety Prevention Manager (SPM).
  • Highly desirable:
    • Experience in chemical risk and/or electrical risk.
    • Emergency management and preparedness. Fire protection systems.
  • It will be a plus:
    • Knowledge of the environment (environmental authorizations, emissions, waste management, etc.).
    • Knowledge of safety dynamics such as: Coordination of Business Activities, work permits, LOTO, selection of PPE, storage of chemical products, industrial regulations.
    • Knowledge of ISO 45001.

Languages

  • Fluent in English (both oral and written). Minimum B2. 
  • Proficiency in Spanish and other European languages is desirable.
