The AMODAC project drives new energy storage solutions for data centers

The collaborative R&D project in which BASQUEVOLT participates, entitled “Advanced MODule based on solid state batteries”, has been co‑funded by the Basque Government and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund 2021–2027 (ERDF).

AMODAC aims to research new energy storage technologies for stationary applications in data centers, focusing on improving the performance of current solutions in terms of energy density, safety, and thermal stability. To this end, BASQUEVOLT will contribute the intrinsic advantages of solid‑state cell technology.

AMODAC is a collaborative project involving BCARE (leader) and BASQUEVOLT which, together with the Basque Network of Science, Technology and Innovation´s technology center CIC ENERGIGUNE, will jointly research the new energy storage solution.
