The new assembled cell paves the way for safer, higher-performance battery technology.

In just nine months the company has gone from assembling 1Ah cells to 20Ah cells and it is confirmed; a new generation of batteries capable of offering an energy density of more than 450Wh/kg is well underway. That’s around 50% more energy density than the best batteries that we find in the Li-ion market today. This is a significant milestone that promises exciting possibilities for the future of energy storage.

Next steps will be focused in concluding the overall qualification of the cells which will also confirm the safety improvements forecasted vs existing Li-ion technology. The safety confirmation of the technology is also a crucial step forward, highlighting the potential for these batteries to not only offer higher energy density but also greater reliability and safety.

Overall, these batteries hold great promise for addressing the limitations of traditional lithium-ion batteries and unlocking new opportunities for energy storage and electrification across multiple sectors.

At Basquevolt, we are moving forward with a combination of innovative research, technological breakthroughs and rigorous testing that will soon lead us to build a more sustainable future.
